Dr. Michelle Messner
Dr. Messner started working for Dr. John Toth in April of 1993 and on January 1, 1994, she became the practice owner and the name Creekside Animal Clinic came into being. She truly likes being in the N.E. Ohio area… well, maybe not the cold part Dr. Messner looks forward to every day spent working with her patients, clients, staff, associates, and colleagues at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital. She has three children (so far, not one has shown an inclination to be a vet), and she is a teaching Black Belt in Taekwondo. She also teaches SCUBA diving with a local dive shop.
Dr. Amy Cummings
Dr. Cummings grew up in Wadsworth and West Akron and started working at Creekside while in high school. After graduating from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, she moved to Utah and practiced there for several years. Family eventually drew her back to North East Ohio, and she joined the team at Creekside in October of 2013. Dr. Cummings has years of experience in both general practice and emergency medicine. She enjoys surgery and educating her clients so they can become the best pet parents they can be. Dr. Cummings currently lives in New Franklin with her husband, Tim, her sons, Sutter, and twin boys, Marcus and Davis, a black Lab named Wrigley, a Golden named Lewie, three rotten cats, and a Lionhead bunny named Hazel. In her free time, which she never seems to have, she enjoys boating, reading, and drinking wine.
Dr. Megan Vessalo
Dr. Megan Vessalo joined our staff in 2018. She went to vet school at Ohio State University and graduated in 2010. She then went on to do a small animal rotation internship at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Vessalo loves getting to know her clients and patients well. She also takes a whole health approach to their care. Outside of work, her four kiddos (2 kids and 2 dogs) keep her and her husband very busy!
Dr. Lisa Perry
Dr. Lisa Perry has come full circle! Dr. Lisa grew up in the Seville /Wadsworth area and worked at Creekside during her summer breaks from school. She attended the University of Findlay and Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her degree in 2013. She has been practicing in private practice since and has taken a special interest in Senior patient care and Integrative medicine including Acupuncture and Laser therapy. Dr. Lisa in her free time if she gets any enjoys spending time with her husband Jon, son Owen, reading, hiking and HITT training. She has a pet family 2 dogs Scout and Sage and 2 3-legged cats Oscar and Rev.
Dr. Erin Gerow
Dr. Erin Gerow graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. After graduation, she returned to her hometown and began working in a local private practice seeing dogs, cats and pocket pets. She has also developed a special interest in behavioral medicine.
Dr. Erin and her husband have two young daughters, two dogs, and three (for now!) Nubian goats. When not in the office, you can find Dr. Erin spending time with her family, in the barn with the goats, or working on her latest batch of goat's milk soap.
Dr. Kristin Heilmeier
Dr. Kristin Heilmeier graduated from Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Prior to relocating to her home state of Ohio, she worked in a small animal private practice in Charlottesville, Va., as well as, a 24-hour emergency clinic in the mountains of North Carolina.
